If you are, this might be great. In case you didn't know, mozilla is an open source browser (the only part that matters in open source if you're not a programmer is the free part)based on netscape. In the regular version of mozilla, you get a very powerful browser. But not just a browser, an email client, a chat client, and a web development client. Mozilla firebird is just a browser (an email client called thunderbird is in the works)with minimal options. It doesn't come with tabbed browsing, but it's very easy to get it using extensions.
Extensions are add-ons to firebird that add extra features, such as tabbed browsing. In case you don't know what tabbed browsing is, it's when instead of opening URLs in new windows, it opens it in a new tab. In firebird, you can change tab positions with drag-and-drop, there's closeboxes in each tab, and much more (if you have the right extensions). Luckily, extensions are very quick and easy to install. Right now, there are about 75 of them. When mozilla releases details on how the public can make them, expect that number to skyrocket.
The focus of firebird is fast. The browser opens up about 10x faster than it's bloated counterpart, and opens webpages faster than any other browser that I've seen.
In short, mozilla firebird ROCKS!! I've been going extension happy since I downloaded it.

If you want to get firebird, you can download it off of mozilla.org, but I recommend the installer. It's much easier to, well, install.
